Aha! I’ll be damned if I don’t go out this weekend. It’s Anawangin again, but this time, it’ll be a road trip and I have to bring gear. Presenting, my stuff!
- Regulation Ultimate Disc - The one that the white team won with (Oops, gloating. Sorry.) ! For bored out moments.
- Nalgene Water Bottle - My dear, dear friend. Holds my water.
- Tupperware-kinda-thing / My Mess Kit + Spork (inside)
- Butane - Let’s keep the fire burning yeah!
- Portable Stove - Okay. It’s not really small. But it’s lightweight though.
- 6L of H20 - We LOVE water!
- Board Shorts - Beach time! It’s new! It was on sale (50-70% off at Surf World)
- Coleman Tent - Sleeps 3. But there are 4 of us. We’ll make do. Kandong.
- Shemagh/Scarf - All around piece of cloth.
- North Face Badlands 60 - Because I’m hauling baggage for 2. (Hmp! at Irene.)
- My Humble Velbon Tripod
- Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream - Favorite! Comfort food.
- Tamrac Adventure 9 - It’s gonna be an adventure!
- Photo Gear - Canon 40D, 10-20, 17-40, 70-200 + small stuff.
I end this post with a thought:
Why pack light when I can put up a fight!
Now let’s all pray for good weather!
Have a great weekend everyone!

For some reason, Irene and I were in Trinoma this afternoon and as usual I passed by Canon D-Zone. Very, very bad. I saw a generic Remote Cable Release which was compatible with my 40D. The Canon RS-80N3 was around P2,800. Since I rarely have a need for the remote cable release, I bought the generic one for P850. Just so I have one if I ever want to use one. For long exposures. And someday, when I grow up, when I get my IR filter.
Works perfectly. Made in Korea. The spiral cord may be an issue for some. It looks like a cord from a PLDT-issued telephone. Haha!

Finally, I bought my neglected fifty (50mm 1.8) its designated lens hood (P900). Teehee. Niftier Fifty! Haha!
The ES-62 has 2 parts: the clip on lens hood and the hood adapter ring.
Next stop: Filters!

There isn’t really anything special coming up but I’m leaving for CAMSUR in three hours. Hastily, I’ve packed and I’m showing all of you what I’m bringing.
- Nalgene Water Bottle - They say it’s tough as hell. It’s been with me for a while now and I’ll attest to it! You can even slam it hard on the floor with confidence. Just so you can see the reactions on your friends’ faces.
- Deuter Wash Center - No. It’s not a washing machine. It’s my very own kikoy kit. Haha! Seriously, that’s where I put my soap, shampoo sachets, toothbrush, toothpaste, recreational drugs. Oops! That was a joke.
- Sandugo Sandals - Tough! Tough! Tough! For impromptu and unexpected situations. You just never know when you need that added traction.
- North Face Prophet 45 - What I like about this pack is that it’s so lightweight. Inside this pack is my sleeping bag, my 3-sleeper tent, 3L of water, 2 Gatorade bottles, clothes, a small pillow, a can of Purefoods corned beef and a can of Vienna Sausages.
- N_k_n Electric Fan -Not that I’m really bringing it with me. It’s just a bonus item. Woot!
- Canon 400D - I’m bringing an extra body for someone else to use. Attached is my brother’s 17-85 IS.
- Extra Slippers - I have big feet! If my sandals give up on me, chances are I wouldn’t be able to find a pair my size. Especially in Bicol!
- Shemagh/Scarf - All around pamunas,instant shade, camera protector/concealer, and accessory.
- Tamrac Adventure 9 - It’s off to a Bicol adventure! A good backpack for one body, 2-3 lenses and some accessories.
- 70-200 - Time to get worked out! This guy took a backseat in Anawangin.
- Small Stuff - There’s a Stofen there, a Nikon lens pen, a flashlight, some batteries, a spork, Halls and some Loperamide tablets. You never, ever know.
Looks like I’ll be offline until Monday! Wish me well in my adventure.
Pinas or bust!
